So I’ve decided to add on an additional trainer who goes by the name of @MoeFlippen on Instagram. I plan to work out with him and the trainers at his gym and do a meal plan in an effort to lose the weight and ultimately tone the areas that I desire. This is my first time ever attempting to commit to a diet, so I already know that I won’t be perfect. I’ve started week 3 of my diet and training and if my scale is in sync with the one at the gym then I’ve lost 8 lbs in this time. This puts me half way to my goal. Meal prepping has made life a little easier during the week since I have planned meals. It also forces me to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, which I previously failed tremendously with. It’s HELLA expensive. In the first 2 weeks, I spent $200 on groceries. This week I speak $114 at wholefoods and $90 for 7 meals from @thechefgabenoel on Instagram. The diet is essentially low carb (with sweet potatoes and brown rice as the only carbs) and filled with protein, veggies and fruit. I since have found a new tolerance for protein shakes with whey protein. I’m currently using IsoPure. It has also gotten me into eating oatmeal, which I’ve always hated as a child. I also find the meal prep extremely time consuming which is the reason that I’m hiring a chef for next week. The meal plan does allow for one cheat meal. If only I can just have one cheat meal and not 2-3 on the weekends then I’d be doing great.
I’m looking forward to the results of this journey and though I’m not one to share my fitness pictures to the world, I may be proud enough to do so.
The biggest asset of my meal prep journey has been this Jaxx Fitpak meal prep lunch box which allows me to pack my breakfast, lunch, 2 snacks and a protein shake. I purchased it from Groupon and it’s been a complete life saver.
