September is the month that I can say marks some closures and new beginnings for me. In September 2018, I made the decision to commute to 12 mo of financially irresponsible Travel. Since then I went to D.C. (Sept ’17), Chicago (Oct ’17), Maui (Jan ’18), Cabo (May ’18), Dallas (June ’18), Barbados (June ’18), Punta Cana (Aug ’18) and tomorrow I leave for Bali, Indonesia on my final adventure of this chapter of my life. I will finally upload pics and experiences from these trips soon. God has been so amazing at opening the doors of opportunity for me and allowing all of this to happen. September also marks the end of my time being “laid off”. My position was cut at a company I worked for back in February. I haven’t worked full time since March 15 and will resume this month. Please say a prayer that I don’t completely lose it when I have to deal with loss of freedom again. Lol. This journey has been quite amazing. I couldn’t have foreseen these trips a year ago or even the change in job status. Last year I found myself in a rut over a failed relationship and dealing with the reality that I want kids and haven’t had any yet. So I decided to live life to the fullest. No husband and no kids can be more of a blessing than I once thought. I wanted to LIVE unapologetically. I also wanted to live a life where if something ever happens to me then people could say, “Wow she really outdid herself. We can’t say she didn’t live.” Though my travels are coming to a brief haul this year, they will resume next year. Already on the roster are Italy, Antigua, Cairo and Dubai. The earth and God’s art is too big for me to stay boxed up in one city. I want to see the world! I simply can’t wait! Oh the places I’ve gone and the places I will God! Thank God for traveling grace and mercy!
