I finally made it to Audubon’s Insectarium on Canal Street. I didn’t realize the building was a federal building therefore entering is like trying to catch a flight. Security is ridiculous! Needless to say the exhibit is feel with all sorts of bugs from beetles to ants to termite to roaches. We came like 50 minutes before closing and didn’t get to see the 2nd floor so I’ll have to make a second trip at some point. The best part for me were the butterflies. There is a whole room filled with various sorts of butterflies flying all around. I felt like a kid all over again. There’s just something about a butterfly when it flies by… You just can’t help but note it’s beauty and accredit God for creating such a miraculous thing. I hope I can make it back here soon since I missed the penguins, in which I’m not sure why they’re in an insectarium, and whatever else the 2nd floor may hold.
