So since I’m living in another state, my mail is still going to Chicago so I’m finally getting my August Birchbox. I was just as excited opening this one as I was the first one. From my July Birchbox I fell in love with the Philosophy one step face wash. I plan to purchase it since I used it nearly every night and every morning and loved the results. Now let’s open this box…
This box included a 0.5 fl. oz. sample of June Jacobs Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque. It smells amazing and I can’t wait to use it. The other lose item in the box is a 0.6 fl. oz. sample of Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel. Considering how much I do my hair and am looking for something to help with the humidity that I’ve been reintroduced to in the South, I plan to give this a try.
Wrapped in pink wrapper with the ribbon is a 1 oz bottle of Shaveworks The Cool Fix. Considering that the smallest bottle being sold is 2 fl. oz., I consider this a pretty good deal. Not sure what part of the body I’m going to try this out on, but I’ll safely explore the possibilities. Lol. The other item was a 7.1 mL sample of Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I’ve heard some good things about this thing so I’m excited to see how it will change my makeup application.Â
Last but not least was the “Extra” gift which was a Twistband Hair Tie. Honestly I didn’t even notice this thing the first few times I went through the box until I decided to check to make sure that I received everything since I was short-changed last time. I figure I’d use this b/c seriously, what girl doesn’t use a hair tie if she has long hair?Â
So that completes my August Birchbox. I’ll give the items a try and let you know what I think. 🙂
