So after surviving a presentation that I had limited time to prep for, I decided that I needed to celebrate. What better way to get my mind off of things than to have drinks?
We decided to head up north to D.O.C Wine Bar in Lincoln Park. Parking on a Saturday night around this place is crazy. We finally found a spot and walked over. I’m not sure what’s going on with the weather in Chicago but it was about 60 degrees and extremely misty. You know the type of mist that ruins your new hair-do? The streets were jumping with night life seekers and Molly’s Cupcakes looked so tempting as I walked past the window. Lol.

We enter our destination and I’m taken aback by how cute this place is. The room is lit by candlelight, there’s surprisingly good mellow music playing, a bar filled with people, and a cozy fireplace in the back corner surrounded by sofas. We were promptly greeted and directed to a table for two in the back near the fireplace.
The waiter was really nice and bubbly. I ordered the “Rose” white wine flight, lobster deviled eggs and buffalo shrimp. The food and wine were great! I love deviled eggs but had never imagined lobster deviled eggs. The dish came with just 3 halves and taste of salad. It was such a teaser. Lol. The buffalo shrimp was also a winner. It came with about 6 jumbo fried shrimp smothered in buffalo sauce with a side of blue cheese dressing and some coleslaw.
This place was such a winner in my sight. I do plan to try to visit it again before I leave Chicago. 🙂
